e-mail management

Yep, use the Rules Wizard (found in the Tools menu) to create a rule that
removes messages from that person. You can have them automagically moved to
any folder (including Deleted Items). It's fairly simple, once you
understand how rules work... but that does take some figuring, sometimes.

The problem is that all messages on this list come from the same address
(pianotech-bounces at ptg.org), so you can't use that to cull the herd.
(That's also why you can't use the Junk Mail tool in the Actions menu to
remove that person from your email universe.)

If the person you want to remove uses a unique name (e.g., "Tom Driscoll")
in the From field, then you should be able to use the Message Header field
to separate the email and do what you please with email from that person.

If, however, the sender uses a not-necessarily unique name (e.g., "Tom"),
then doing it that way will catch more than you want. Then, you'll probably
need to use the Body as the sorting field, and that means that you'll also
lose any email that includes that person in a multi-part thread. Of course,
you could just move the culled email to another folder, rather than deleting
it immediately.

Hope this helps.

Annie

  List,

For those more computer savvy than I, is there a way to block
individual contributors to a list group?

              I use MICROSOFT outlook.

              Thanks,

   Tom Driscoll
