Had the same problem recently. A few suggestions, 1 – Make a dimple with a center punch and make a pilot hole with a small drill bit down the center of the screw then drill off the head with a drill bit the same diameter as the threaded part of the screw. 2-- Use a small cold chisel and a big hammer and break off the bolt head 3--- Call Phil Bondi---he knows everything about rusted and stuck <G> Tom Driscoll _____ From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of David and Jean Weiss Sent: Sunday, December 30, 2007 11:21 PM To: Pianotech List Subject: stuck bolts Hey Mike, I'm trying to remove the two screws that hold the lisence plate on my car. They are rusted and stuck fast. The slots for a screwdiver are stripped, I was able to grab the edge of the screws with vice grips but they will not turn. I spayed with PB but they still wouldn'b budge. What else can I do? Thanks, David No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
