I always put the straight string into the pin, let it protrude 1/16" on the other side, and using my Insta-coiler, proceed to create the coil. The becket is made on the first turn with the end of the string flush with the pin. The first turn pulls the string back in to the flush position. This is a "natural" becket. Pre made ones will likely work just as well but it would take longer. Martin Wisenbaker, RPT Houston, Texas
