DC installation/piano on truck

Subject: DC installation/piano on truck

 

Happy New Year, all.

 

Any words of wisdom or suggestions regarding installing a full DC system on
a grand piano (Baldwin R) that's on a stage truck, dolly, or whatever you
call it.  I hate crawling around a truck and was thinking it might be easier
in the long run to simply put the piano up on my trusty sawhorses, install
the system and then lower it again to the truck. I know it means hauling
more equipment, etc.

I did several of these for a large church.  The installations went well.
The only difference was a little more "head room" under the piano.  A folded
moving blanket made it quite comfortable.  The center of the tripod was/is a
very nice head rest.
