Subject: Acrosonic Agony

 

Hello,

 

Is there anyone who would be able to sell me a whippen assembly for a
Baldwin Acrosonic..the type that uses the long wooden sticker?  I normally
order from Schaff, but since I only need 1, and nothing else, my order would
be too small.

 

Also, what tips do you have on keeping the wooden sticker needles in the
holes of the guide rail when removing an Acrosonic action.  I had to put
them all back when the rail came off. It was not fun and I'd like to try and
avoid that situation again.

Use 3-4 old damper blocks, slide them onto the sticker wire above the guide
rail and tighten the screws before pulling the action.  You may need to ream
them to a larger daimeter.
