I have been cutting and pasting stuff from the list for years.
I currently keep my stuff in a Mac program called "Mori".
My data tree looks a lot like Alans ' Outlook screenshot.

There is a great ~free~ Windows program I ran into recently for collecting 
snippets of info called Evernote.
It would be worth trying out if you are looking for a program to store your 
info.
