My approach to rib building is much like Ron Nossaman's, with the exception that I vacuum-press my ribs. Picture below is of my two latest and greatest rib cauls. I simply glued up a bunch of cheap 2x4s into a huge hunk of spruce, drew my curve, cut them on the bandsaw and touched up the curve with a hand plane. Below is picture of laminae being clamped after glueup. Below is picture of finished slab of ribs. Individual ribs are then ripped from the slab to desired width. Works great. I love making ribs this way. Terry Farrell ----- Original Message ----- I would like to build my rib crowning jig can anyone send me some advise and pictures.
