Completely disassemble the trapwork and trapwork blocks, remove all old leather and felt, clean thoroughly, re-assemble with the appropriate lubrications and felt and leather, and go from there. Takes about an hour. Just adding more lube of some sort doesn't solve the underlying issue as you've described it. Luck!
