Dear Greg and all- This was a problem in the late 90¹s to early 2000¹s with new Steinway models. It was usually corrected with a combination of shimming the top half of the rep flange out more , relieving the touching portions of the jack / hammer flange and making sure that after touch was not excessive. I would have to agree with Ed though, that this rep looks WAY too far toward the player. David C.
