Extreme jumpiness

Oh, I just remembered a last resort fix.
Drill out the holes for plugs, either 3/8" or 1/2". Then drill for #2 pins.
I think you said it was only 1/2 doz., that were left as untunable.
The plugs can be purchased from Webb Phillips.

  Ditto to what Mike said, plus garfield treated blocks can turn jumpy, and more than likely the original pins were jumpy.  If one replaces loose, jumpy pins with larger pins, one ends up with tight, jumpy pins.  Once jumpy, always jumpy.  I've tried varnish in the hole, talcum powder, reaming, and nothing seems to work.
