Wind Screen / Back Cover

If you are going to use the cover to enhance humidity control then you need
to purchase DampChaser's product, as they have a patent on using a cover for
that purpose. Their cover does come with Velcro fasteners.

If you are going to use a cover for appearance purposes only, you can save
quite a bit by sourcing the materials yourself.

Get black speaker cloth at Joann Fabric. They almost always have 40% off
sales going, usually you can get the coupon in a flyer at the front of the
store that is good for the following week. I usually buy the whole bolt of
whatever is left on the roll. It'll do several pianos.

Get Velcro tabs at http://www.fastenation.com <http://www.fastenation.com/>
. Choose the Select a Fastening System drop down box, pick Velcro Brand Tape
off the drop down list. Scroll down through the options on the new page and
you'll come to the roll of 1" squares in white or black. They are called 1"
X 1" BLACK VELCRO MATED KISS CUT HOOK AND LOOP, a roll of around 900 for
about $71 w/ shipping. I always put a staple through the pad that sticks to
the piano using a big staple gun and the pads are spaced about 8-10" apart.
I then use a heavy duty desktop stapler to staple the pad that sticks to the
cloth.

If you want to use the iron on sticky tape for the backs of vertical pianos
it is available in just about any sewing department of WalMart, K-Mart, etc.

Hi Patrick,

I don't particularly like the idea of using a stapler gun and Velcro can be
expensive. I'm looking for an idea that is more secure than velcro,
functional, serviceable, sturdy, nice looking .... etc. All Damp-Chaser
does is sell a product I don't ever remember them providing mounting
scenarios.

Kindest Regards,

Garret
