>From what I got from Geoff's first post, I'm not sure it is a pitch variation that annoys his customer. Usually after just a few days, it would be a case of unisons. Of course a dampp chaser with bottom and string cover could make Geoff's tunings to be less of a pain...I think this problem could be adressed by having a good look at voicing, specially string mating and hammer condition. I've found that good voicing can give out better unisons since the higher harmonics can be reduced a little, removing some "twang" to attack.
