>Which begs the question: after all this time, who is routinely >putting in Andre's front punchings? I am. I replace even new punchings on grands to the owners amazement at the improvement. Even the ones coming through the shop for resale. A few Asian verticals have come through also with conical green woven FR punchings. The first one sounded like it needed voicing but after I noticed the punchings were mixed in regards to their shape orientation, I placed them with the narrow side on top and the voicing problems went away. But the Wurzen felt punchings have a more positive landing and less discrepancy in key travel between pp and ff. I also prefer the Crescendo Balance Rail Punchings for their stability maintaining a key level when new and a solid pivot for the key. -- Regards, Jon Page -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
