Speaking of Steinway grand sizes

Richard,

I'm sure you're right about it being an O.  In my shop right now is  a 
1911 O.  Plate just as you described:  Serial number 147477 in the "v", 
but no model designation, "miniature" cast into the plate bar spanning 
the bass strings.  Length from tail to stretcher is 159cm.
