Hello Thump,
 
    The Sp. 64 was designed by and for the Pratt-Read
Action Co.  Comstock, Frank Stopa and Charley Stein
was involved in  this design. The Lester Piano Co. did
build the little piano. 
 
  At the time small houses and apartments was the rule 
of the day.  And small Pianos was called far.  It was 
intended to fill this need.
 
    It is a real piano as it has strings struck by  hammers
a sound board and bridges. It has a single escapement 
action  (jack on  key)  and dampers.  
 
   There is such a Piano in the PTG Museum in the
Home Office. It can be seen and played there.
    
   I would like to see pictures.
