Soundboard repair question

Good thing you told the owner to NOT try CA because both pianos are 
Steinways. So, does this suggest that CA is fine for soundboard cracks in 
all other pianos? How does a Stienway soundboard crack differ from a 
Bosendorfer soundboard crack or a Grinell Bros. soundboard crack?
