It's a humidistat that has a dial control and the DC rods are plugged into the humidistat. So when the RH gets to whatever the humidistat is set at, the DC rods are shut off. If you get to something like 80° and 70%RH in the shop, you'll never get there unless you can get the temperature up to around 110°.
