Hello,
I have a Steinway "S" available that is ready for an easy rebuild, #281263 (1936).

The case is dark mahogany. The present finish is actually quite good for its age but no bench. It has all original ivories in pristine condition with no chips. The pin block is reasonable and would probably be quite tight after restringing with new pins. Personally, I always replace blocks when rebuilding anyway, but you could likely reuse this one if you wish. There are no apparent soundboard cracks. Bridges are dirty as typical with age but look very solid. Some basic re-notching and new pins would probably do it. The primary concern with this piano is the action which has been contaminated with verdigris. The center pin bushings are very stiff and sticking badly so it will require all new action parts.

Overall this piano is a very easy basic rebuild. I am just too busy and my financial resources are presently stretched to the limit with another expensive restoration project underway. I have too many pianos sitting on their side in the shop. If anyone is looking for an easy Steinway rebuild this is it. Cost is $4,600 and worth every penny. You pay transportation, but I can help you make the arrangements at this end, including local mover pick-up and transfer over to Keyboard Carriage or whomever.

Serious inquiries only please. Check payment must clear prior to shipment.

Don't wait, FIRST-COME FIRST-SOLD!
