Short of having another contraption to lug around, I carry a moving blanket and a piece of thin plywood (knee panel from a Rippen stow-away piano - Deb Legg got the plastic keys - I kept the good part). The pad goes on the piano, the plywood goes on the pad which makes it easy to spin the action around to work from the other side. Key dip can still be accommodated via shims and there is nothing to set up. -- Regards, Jon Page
