replacing a back action on a 1909 Steinway B

Ed,
I'm looking at this in my mind's eye, but, the only clearance problem I can
think of would ultimately be the sos. blade interfering with back checks. Do
I have that right? That could certainly be solved with a smaller back check,
or ones that were scalloped on the back side.
