floating the soundboard

Lets not start mixing up replies to different posts here. My anti-gods
reply was in response to a reference to some Goddess thing... nothing
more and nothing less... and I stand by it. The reason I stand by it is
simply because of simple observation. If Terry had been taught
(thoroughly) to build soundboards by say.... the Steingræber folks.. or
perhaps the old Bechstein gang... whomever... odds are he'd have a
different set of gurus then he perceives today. And knowing Terry as I
do... he'd be damned good at what he was taught.

As for Deans origional post... I wrote the following

http://ptg.org/pipermail/pianotech.php/2008-May/222195.html

Which prompted Terry to write:

http://ptg.org/pipermail/pianotech.php/2008-May/222197.html

Which in turn I rather ... how was it Will Truit put it.... "found
offensive"  --> http://ptg.org/pipermail/pianotech.php/2008-May/222235.html
because.....

There are quite a few very intelligent piano builders and designers in
the world who do not subscribe to the doctrines of the three Terry
mentioned.... none of the Terry / Me exchange that followed Deans
original post bore on Deans querry.... so who should find who offensive
here... ? Grin... of course the answer is simple... nobody. Its not
worth getting bent out of shape about.

And finnally... Terry... when put as you did in your last.... well of
course :).... who could possibly have a quarrel with that statement ? I
still dont see what that has to do with what I asked Dean tho...

Sigh... another day on pianotech :)

Cheers
RicB
