replacing sharps

Caution with epoxy - it doesn't adhere well to most plastics.

  I haven't replaced a set of sharps for many years. I used to use Duco cement but have since learned that was not a good glue choice. Since starting to read this list a few years ago I have become acquainted with PVC-E as a choice for gluing plastic to wood. 

   

  I recently installed a set of plastic sharps using PVC-E and some are coming off now. My inclination is to saw off all that are remaining and epoxy on a new set. What would others do?
