The gas price where I live in Winnipeg, Canada is $ 125.9 a litre. Takes roughly
5 litres for an imperial gal. ( little larger than an american gal ). Sooooooo, if
my calculations are correct ( approx. ) we pay about $ 6.25 per gal.
I can remember when gas was 29c a gallon. A friend in the auto business said,
when prices started to increase almost daily, that when price gets to $ 75c a gal.
the oil co.s will finally be happy, and prices will stabilize. " WRONG." They will never
be happy , cause that's the mentality of big business. " NO CONSCIENCE."

I'll second the Prius plug. I've had mine just under a year. While I don't think my mileage here in the north-east equals Terry's (the cold winter seems to lower the efficiency for some reason) I'm still right around 50 MPG. Until recently a fill up has been less than $30 and I've been refilling less than half as often as I was with the Caravan.

Gasoline - that's just so yesterday.......

And just one more reason to utilize a high fuel economy vehicle. My standard ride gets 55 mpg (650cc motorcycle), and when I need to transport an action or something else large, I can use our other vehicle that has averaged 53 mpg (Toyota Prius) over the past two+ years.

At least the high fuel efficiency dampens the sting.

Working on an all-electric solution (electric motorcycle).......

Anyone about to cry with these gas prices? In Cincinnati to day gas reached an all new high, 395 per gallon. Just going into full time University work is really starting to appeal to me. Sure I would make less but I would pay less taxes and not have to worry about hiring a driver. Just one of the pit falls for blind technicians... I moved back to Cincinnati in February when gas was about 1.30 lower than now. Over the last few weeks the calls have gotten fewer and fewer. Glad I have got a key bushing job and a regulating job coming in. Sorry... Just wanted to complain to someone who would know how I feel.
