Seeking hammer suggestions

Yes, I put a set of Abel Naturals on a C3 two years ago, with good results. They needed very little voicing other than some light sanding. After a year they were a little brighter, but still monumentally better than the rocks that came off of it. The results were good for an in-home piano, but I would be hesitant to put them on a piano in a hall.

Anyone have any experience with Abel Naturals on Yamaha pianos?

I would be concerned that the Bacon Felt might be a bit soft for that application and you will need to use too much hardener.  Even the Wurzen might be a bit soft.  Unfortunately, after that anything else takes quite a leap in firmness.  On Yamaha’s, I still prefer something firmer though.  It’s a good place for a Premium Blue.  It would be good if some sampling could be done.

Greetings,

On my Yamaha U3, I want to replace the hammers. I was considering Ronsen, the German felt ones. Any other suggestions?   I gotta change out these original hammers, I tried voicing them, and got some relief for a few days, now they sound ear piercing again. They gotta go, before I lose my hearing!
