My colleague John Parham recently replaced keytops on keys that had previously had tops installed with contact cement. He tested first and found that PVC-E made a very poor bond with the old contact cement. He used mineral spirits and scraping to remove the old cement, then got a very good bond with PVC-E. BUT I know many of you do with success, and I want to try it on a set that I will be installing in my living room. Since the archives are down, can someone help me with procedure? Thanks much!
