Red light on DC light block

It could also be a problem with the humidistat. I have had to replace both for this same situation.

I had the red light come on with no smart bar. The problem was the 
humidistat bar was no good.
The reason was that the bar had corroded.
That is why a plastic sleeve is now used.
If it is under warranty, then D C will supply a new humidifier bar.

One of my clients Grand  has a DC system but no smart
bar.   Lately  the red light is flashing, indicating the pads should
be changed.  Can't understand it ,   as there is no smart bar,  or
anything plugged in  for it ?
Any ideas ?
