Jude,
I cannot think of a place to locate a second coil spring (I use the
standard coil spring supplied by Steinway)- if I need more return force I
think I will just build up the spring anchor base on the under side of the
belly rail with thick cow hide as required - or, rather than counter
sinking the coil into the tray I will glue an anchor there.
Or, I suppose that I could locate a coil spring of similar dimensions that
would be just a bit longer and or stronger.
