I have a customer who is selling their piano - about a 6-foot grand. A Decker. This thing is a WWII TANK+1/2. Very few pianos I have seen as heavily built. It would be a beaut to put a Fandrich belly into..... Almost with the Chickering 145 and the M-H A-3 thru A-6." I have to wonder are you leaving out 3 of the 5 or in a sense counting the M-H 4 times? (which would actually make your list 6 pianos long) I guess another interesting topic could be so called copies. If conover is like a Mason and Steinert like a Steinway - any other notible copies that could be considered bargins? I've been curious about these things for awhile and I'm glad it came up.
