[pianotech] PR follow up

I certainly dis agree . I have been scheduling 2 weeks return tunings on anything over 25c low for almost my entire career.. In almost all cases they really need it to get them solid.?

Do you?just raise the pitch at the first appointment, or did you do a pitch raise and a fine tuning that first time around,followed by a second fine tuning?? 



When I first started tuning, I was told to do a pitch raise in 2 or 3 stages. So on one piano that was 50 cents low I did just that. I raised it 10 or 15 cents, and tuned it. Then?I came back a a few weeks later and raised and tuned it another 15 cents. But I noticed that the piano was still in tune.?On my third visit, the piano had actually gone a little sharp, and I did a "normal" tuning, but again almost didn't need it. That's when I went to doing a pitch raise and tuning in one sitting. I do charge extra, but that's another subject.
