I think of voicing as damage control - the last chance to (temporarily) bring what the string scale, soundboard, and hammers have to give you, together into an acceptable tone production committee. As is typical of committees, not all the active members are working toward the same end result and you may never know why. This complicates matters somewhat. Ron N
