Hi Duaine,
My #2 tip is on the small side, dont know if that would help.
Secondly, If you are having trouble with strings breaking, is it possibly
due to not hearing the correct pitch.
With an instrument that far of I always have to start on A2 and either work
down by note to A0 or if lucky by octaves.
Listening to those notes so far out and poor quality sound sends my head a
spinning. Almost like vertigo.
