? Hi All ? For the last few weeks I've been engaging my newest busniss/hobby of?processing the Sitka lumber. ? ?Pictured below is none other than Fenton (I'm going surfin) Murray. We enjoyed?a days worth of?saw dust?all the while munching on some?of Fentons homemade flax seed bread (made in my oven) in between?gluing up?this B panel/board & double panel of pin block material. I'll send a picture of the D board & O panel?constucted?recently. They are really quite homely looking till the get thru the panel sander. The B panel below has some of the really wide palnks pictures recently. One is 11 & the other 9 inches wide. Together they comprise approximately 1/3 of the panel. Way less joinery. The entire panel is made from the same cant which is great for ease of color & grain matching. ? Slicing up the cants of Sitka is a new & interesting proposition. It's a bit like gambling. You never know what the game holds till you're in the middle of it only my odds are better. Besides, the smell?of Sitka is much better than the inside of a casino. ?
