Right! Real convenient to carry 30 Pounds of wire with you out in the field! Sheesh!
Yes, 1# cans are the way to go in the shop. Fill the 1/3 lb. ones from the 1# cans. The biggee is....make sure you have the "Brake" on the 1/3 lb. spools. Also bend the "tongue" of the Brake upwards so that the wire binds against the bend before it comes out of the ent of the "tongue"!!! Also, put washers and either side of the spool when you attach the "Brakes", that way you can cinch down on the pivot bolt and control the amount of resistance. The heavier the wire, the more resistance you need to avoid the "explosion"....DAMHIK!!!
