Hi Floyd and list,

The Crescendo are made in the Wurzen felt factory in Germany). As we
all know by now Wurzen felt is of the highest quality and is used by
most major Piano manufacturers (STW, the YAMAHA CFIII-S, Schimmel,
Bechstein's more expensive models, Fazioli, Bösendorfer, and many
others.

The Crescendo Wurzen punchings are very good for :

1. creating a very very precise regulation (if the technician knows
how to make a very precise regulation in the first place)
2. creating a louder tone, because of the improved energy transfer due
to the improved regulation
3. creating a louder tone, because of the improved energy transfer due
to the more firm punching, as it does not absorb so much energy
4. restoring tone when an instrument has been voiced too much

To find out more about the Crescendo punchings I would advise to
search the archives as a lot has been written in the not-so-long-ago
past.
An article too has been publicized a few years in the PTG Journal
about these punchings.

It is understandable that some technicians have negative reports about
these punchings... however, the majority of our colleagues are usually
very positive and even Oberhessische Klaviaturen in Germany now
delivers their new key frames with Wurzen back rail cloth, Wurzen
balance rail punchings, and Wurzen front rail punchings (the very same
front rail punchings Jürgen Goering is selling as 'Crescendo punchings'.

For most, the Crescendo punchings are a welcome and very positive tool
to improve touch and tone. That is nice. Others just don't like them,
for whatever reason. That's ok too. It is a free world (in some parts).

and no.... I do not sell Wurzen or Crescendo front punchings nor do I
make any commissions , just so everybody here knows.

friendly greetings
