This is incorrect. $19.99 buys the 60 minute card, there are no other
charges. That yields a per minute cost of 33 cents/minute, And for another
one time fee of $25 you get to double the minutes of your phone for life so
that brings the cost down to 17 cents/minute. This is one of the most
expensive ways to add Tracfone airtime. It may sound high compared to your
ATT plan of 10 cents, but there is no extra per day usage fee. That $1 a day
cost will really bump up your total if you use the phone much. 

If you rarely use a cell phone then it may be cheaper to go your way. I use
200-300 minutes a month.

Last time I purchased Tracfone airtime it came out to around 8.3
cents/minute, and since I use all my minutes well within the service time I
don't pay any extra for service days. So using your example for 60 minutes
in 1 day:

Duaine pays 60x10 cents +$1/day service= $7 or 
Duaine's per minute cost average= 11.2 cents/minute

Dean pays 60x8.3 cents= $4.99

Duaine's plan for Dean would cost Dean an extra 3 cents/minute, or around $9
per month, even more probably as I use the phone almost every day, so it
would likely be an extra $30-$40 with the $1/day usage fee. If you don't use
the phone that often, then the $1/day fades in significance.

At least for me, Tracfone would actually make me - lose - money.

I asked the question if I buy 60 minutes / 90 day service and I don't
use the 60 minutes what happens. They said you have NO minutes and you
have to buy another card of service.

And they told me that the cost of the call per minute is 33 cents

For an hour phone all:

AT&T Go-Phone plan = $1 / day + 60 minutes @ 10 cents per minutes $6

Tracfrone = $19.80 for 60 minutes @ 33 cents per minute (+ initial cost
of the 60 minute card)

now, another 1 hr call same day

AT&T Go-Phone plan = 60 minutes @ 10 cents per minutes $6

Tracfrone = $19.80 for 60 minutes @ 33 cents per minute

Total for the day:

AT&T Go-Phone plan = $13

Tracfrone = $39.60 (+ initial cost of the 60 minute card)
