Thanks, Jack and Bill!  Just what I thought, changing the whippens to a conventional style, a slight modification, and changing the regulating rail to accommodate the different length, then adjusting the action ratio to work from there.  Boy, what a project.  Jack, good ideas, figured out from years of hard experience.  Much appreciated.  You guys are great!  Thanks so much.

          Check out these two projects by Ray's Piano Service.  They both utilized complete wippen and hammer replacement.  Off the shelf wippens were used with slight modification and then the rail angle was changed to correct the geometry by shaving the rail in a planer..
