All this is fine and good except that we don't really know the buyers own criteria for a purchase. All three pianos are of good quality (Fazioli, Steingraeber and Hamburg Steinway). To discuss which is the better pick without knowing the goals and concerns of the buyer is a bit like ordering dinner for someone of whose appetites you are unaware. I would be cautious about characterizing American pianotech participants by a couple of disagreeable responses. BTW, I don't eat foie gras or lima beans in case you were ordering. What I had to say was not the to the liking of our american friends then I would be attacked. Its clear to see that this is the case. What is the point of having opinins if they are all the same. I would choose the Hamburg B over the Fazioli. Thats my opinion and I will stick with it. Thats the question here. On another note Stuart does not have fight with Steinway . He has cornered his market and has many supporters of his product which is well deserved. He has done this by not attacking other makers making claims of this is better ect. he has done it on the pianos quality and innovation. To say my opinion has limited value because I dont know the Steingraeber ect is fine with me. But I do know steinway. Spent time in hamburg and work on them all the time. I know what they do and how they build. I know the finished product. No other maker builds the same . Once again my opinion. I know there are also many others who also have this opinionas well. So I would consider The Steinway B . Regards Paul KNight
