Which Ron? I use a pair of duck bill pliers, but that's 
because I already have them, and the tool and my style meet 
comfortably in the middle to do the job. If a brass drift 
works for you, go for it. You're not going to put undue stress 
on the tuning pin in either case. Think string tension.
