Is this cancelling effect apparent only in "chords" of common practice
triadic harmonies?  Or, does the cancelling perception still appear in
non-triadic and/or atonal harmonies, as well as extended triadic harmonies
found in much jazz (9th, 11th, 13th chords and the like)?
