Hi, Joe: I need to repair the threads on several Schaff type tuning levers. The shaft is round, not hexagonal, with a single slot along the length. I'm not a machinist, but 1/8"?? tapered pipe thread. What does 1/8" refer to? I'm quite sure my tips are a bit larger than that. Pardon my ignorance. ?? The standard is 1/8" tapered pipe. Mine are 1/8" pipe STRAIGHT for less flex at the union of shaft and head. There is less of a standard for tips.
