Joe:

Not having tuned a lot of square grands in my time what exactly is the
challenge?

"We shouldn't charge extra for our

lack of experience."

I totally agree!

However, I charge a helluva lot more for my experience. Most techs have
"caused" the problem, by not learning how to tune Over-dampers and Square
Grands and any other weird things that come down the pike. It is human
nature to like one's "comfort zone", but the lack of knowlege in regards to
these instruments and the lack of wanting to have this knowledge, is
ludicrous, IMNSHO!! Because no one will touch such things in my area, I have
taught myself the ins/outs of these instruments, over the years. Because
I've taken that extra time to become proficient, I charge a heckuva lot more
than any of you do, I can darn well bet on that. The onus falls on all
techs, (ptg or other)!

Besides, the cost of pain killer, (commonly known as Scotch), is not cheap!
<G> Also, I've tuned Three (3) Square Grands in one day. And, I'm still
5'11" in spite of it!!<G>

Top that one!<G>
