I just wondered why anyone would want a sponge in a tube when, 
as you said, it does little to no good. The rational 
comparison is in the amount of water put into a real humidity 
control system in a year's time. I can't understand how this 
could possibly be offensive to anyone but the seller of 
sponges in tubes.
