    All your comments are correct.  Speaking as an auto mechanic in another life, CFM (cubic feet per minute) is the name of the game, not PSI or pressure.  Keep in mind almost any air tool you will use is the same as opening up the end of the air hose wide.  If the compressor doesn't produce the volume needed to keep up with what you're using, the tool will slow or stop until the pump makes up the difference.  This is especially true with impact wrenches and spray equipment.
