The Verituner has default of: 10% wound, 28% midsection single, and 36% treble (around F5 and higher) I customized mine (VT-PPC) to 13%, 28%, and 34% which seems to work better for me. >From the manual: Overpull Percentages The Verituner calculates a tuning target based on a number of factors (see Chapter 5). An overpull amount is added beyond the target to compensate for the settling of strings in pitch raising or lowering, The amount of overpull is calculated as a percentage of the difference between the actual pitch and the target. For example, if a note is 12 cents sharp, and the overpull is set at 36%, the overpull marker will be at –4.3 cents. A VT calculates it automatically by measuring each ote that you are tuning and if in pitch raise mode gives you a target based n your programming. The SAT you have to take periodic measurements as you re going, say every 5th or octave or so. The RCT calculates the average ased on the last five notes tuned (trailing average). Whichever way the TD's do a pretty good job of figuring out the required overpull and giving ou a target. The standard overpull settings will vary depending on which art of the piano you are talking about. The 38% overpull is a standard of he VT for the treble but I think it's a bit too much and you can customize t. The SAT III has as 25% setting and a 32% (or something like that) and ou can choose which one to use depending on which part of the piano and hat type of piano (they vary). I'm not sure what the RCT settings are. David Love ww.davidlovepianos.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
