>Susan: Are you using an impact lever, or jerking a traditional lever?

Terry, for pitch raising in the treble I'm mostly
tapping/hitting/slapping the last few inches of a traditional (very
long extended) lever with my flat fingers, with the lever usually at
about 2 or 3 o'clock. (Alternating with slow pull and various
jiggling/nudging motions.)

Except for Steinway uprights (not the old ones, the problematic newer
ones.) Then I go to the trunk and pull out the impact lever.

Susan
