I tried to use "readers" but they did not work for me at all. I Thought that strange because my eye doctor had told what strength to buy so I checked with an optical department to see why. It turned out that my prescription glasses were adjusted for astigmatism. I have worn trifocals for years and this was a big problem playing an organ because of the height of the music rack. The solution was a pair of single lens glasses in between the reading and distance settings of my prescription. This has worked well for playing the organ, working on the computer and doing piano work.
