You are correct, the customer is not always right.  But the customer is the one paying the bill and the one who needs to be satisfied with the tuner's services.  If they are not, it won't matter who's "right".

Agreed.  Like people telling us that the piano was tuned to sharp or to flat.  Sure…   The customer is not always right.
