I was faced with a wax spill on the webbing and on about six or so notes worth of tuning pins. The wax came off pretty easily in pieces but I need to go back with mineral spirits, rags and Q tips to swab the pins. I don't know about any block contamination because my tuning hammer was skidding around on those pins.
