How do they compare with GC or Arledge? I've never bought GC's, but one of our D's has them (about 10 yearsold) and are still great, and I've liked Arledge on the smaller grandsI have.....a bit better than Mapes.

How often (you CAUT folks on this listanyway) found you needed to replace bass strings on heavily used grands?

Well the price seemed about the sameas I am accustomed to paying as is the purported turn around time of twoweeks.
 I am always interested in a superior or perhaps different sound. Helleralso has different choices of wire. Roslau,which I am not fond of, andthe French wire by Pauelo.
  (SPelling not sure) This could make things interesting.
