[pianotech] Mass loading article - was; small vise grips for mass loading testing

        On page 27, right column of the August 2007 Journal, Del Fandrich 
writes:
 
"This 'explosive sound'...is a result of no back curve or fore-shortening 
in the bottom tenor." 
 
What does this mean? ....I think I know, I just want to be sure.
